Hydraulic hose is an important link in the hydraulic system and equipment. It can bear high pressur, easy to remove, and very widely used in hydraulic industry.
Hydraulic hose consists of the inner and outer rubber layer and steel wire layer. There are different layer of steel wire from 1 to 6 according to the pressure it can bear, and the maximum pressure is 60mpa.Hydraulic hose inner is made of synthetic rubber which resistant to mineral oil and bio-oil and with good shrink performance. Outer layer is made of wear-resisting and aging-resisting rubber. Middle layer is high tensile steel wire winding layer. Suitable medium for hydraulic hose include : mineral oil, oil-water mixture, polyethylene glycol based oil, synthetic lipid based oil, rapeseed oil and so on. Application working temperature is -40℃ to 100℃, maximum temperature is 125℃.
Selecting hydraulic hose correctly can ensure the safety of the whole hydraulic system, Layout space reasonably, and control the costs preferably.Pay attention to the following 4 points when selecting:
1. Select steel wire layer according to pressure, the more of steel wire layer, the higher pressure can take.Every hydraulic hose has a maximum working pressure,bursting pressure is 4 times as working pressure. The pressure is higher, the price is higher ,so choose the right hose according to practical system pressure. We advice you choose impulse resistant hose if hydrualic system whose impact pressure appears very frequently.
2.Select right inner diameter base on the flow, and It’s important to choose inner diameter accordingly.Undersized inner diameter will increase the speed of flow, reduce efficiency and over high decompression. On the other side, oversize inner diameter will increase cost.
3.Pay attention to the bending radius of hose.It’s better to minus crimping length when calculate bending radius, to withhold length minus front joint.It will reduce the pressure-bearing ability and working life if bend radius is too small.
4. Select reasonable fittings according to the hydraulic arrangement.For example : SAE flange fittings, internal thread fittings, external thread fittings, 90° and 45° fittings assembly angle and hose assembly angle.
